This VIOFO A229 Ultra 2CH bundle combines the two-channel dash cam, recording 4K from both front and rear with dual Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 8MP sensors and HDR, plus 5GHz Wi-Fi, quad-mode GPS and voice control, with an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
The HK4 hardwire kit and fuse set let you power the camera from the fuse box for parking mode. The dash cam is also sold on its own or in a bundle without the memory card, and the VIOFO 128GB microSD card is available separately.

The A229 Ultra records 4K from both the front and rear cameras, so number plates are captured clearly in both directions. Dual Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with HDR keep footage sharp in extreme bright and dark conditions, and the front CPL-200 filter is included to cut windscreen glare.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A229 Ultra 2CH 128GB bundle?
A: You get the A229 Ultra front and rear cameras, GPS mount, 6m rear cable, 3.5m car charger, USB-C data cable, front CPL filter, trim tool, stickers and spare sticky pads, plus an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
Q: Is 128GB enough for 4K front and rear?
A: Yes for everyday use. Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically and locked event clips are kept until you delete them. Choose a larger card, up to 512GB, if you want more footage held before it loops.
Q: Does the A229 Ultra record 4K at the rear?
A: Yes. Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 8MP sensors and record 4K at 30fps, so the rear footage is as detailed as the front.
