This VIOFO A229 Pro 3CH bundle combines the three-channel dash cam, recording 4K at the front, 2K at the rear and 1080P infrared in the cabin using Sony STARVIS sensors, with HDR, 5GHz Wi-Fi, quad-mode GPS and voice control, with an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 256GB microSD card.
The HK4 hardwire kit and fuse set let you power the camera from the fuse box for parking mode, and the 256GB card gives three channels room to record. The dash cam is also sold on its own or in a bundle without the memory card, and the VIOFO 256GB microSD card is available separately.

The A229 Pro 3CH uses Sony STARVIS 2 technology across its front and rear cameras, delivering 4K front and 2K rear recording in high quality day and night, with an infrared cabin camera for taxi and fleet use.
4K Ultra HD Front Recording
The front camera records in 4K using a Sony STARVIS 2 1/1.8" 8MP sensor. It captures number plates and fine details with clarity at speed, day or night.
2K Rear Recording
The rear camera records in 2K using a Sony STARVIS 2 1/2.8" 5MP sensor, producing sharp footage in both daytime and night-time conditions.
Infrared Cabin Recording
The cabin camera uses a Sony STARVIS IMX307 sensor with HDR technology for clear, balanced interior footage. A built-in IR light sensor automatically activates four infrared LEDs in low light, capturing sharp black-and-white detail even in total darkness.
3-Channel HDR
HDR technology combined with the Sony STARVIS 2 sensors balances bright and dark areas across all three channels, accurately restoring 4K and 2K detail at night and capturing number plate information in fast-moving traffic.
5GHz Wi-Fi
A built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi module provides fast data transfer for smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing via the Viofo app.
Voice Control and Notifications
Built-in voice control lets you start recording, take photos and toggle Wi-Fi using spoken commands in English, Chinese, Russian or Japanese. The camera also announces settings changes and memory card errors audibly.
Quad-Mode GPS
The built-in quad-mode GPS module supports GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS for fast, accurate positioning. Location, speed and time data are logged and viewable in the Viofo app or on a computer during video playback.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A229 Pro 3CH 256GB bundle?
A: You get the A229 Pro front camera with GPS mount, rear and interior cameras with cables, CPL-200 filter, 3.5m car charger, USB-C data cable, spare sticky pads, stickers and trim tool, plus an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 256GB microSD card.
Q: Why a 256GB card with the 3CH?
A: Three channels write a lot of footage, so a 256GB high-endurance card holds more before loop recording overwrites the oldest clips. Locked event clips are kept until you delete them.
Q: What does the A229 Pro 3CH cabin camera record?
A: The cabin camera uses a Sony STARVIS IMX307 sensor with HDR, and four infrared LEDs switch on automatically in low light so it records black and white footage even in total darkness.
