Advanced parking mode
The A119 V3 offers three parking mode options: Auto Event Detection, Time Lapse, and Low Bitrate Recording. Auto Event Detection activates buffered parking mode, recording footage before and after an event. The included HK3 hardwire kit uses the ACC signal to detect car start and stop accurately.
GPS tracking
The GPS module records real-time speed, time, and route data into the video file for playback in compatible viewers. A date and time stamp is also embedded in all footage.
Super night vision and HDR
The Sony STARVIS IMX335 sensor delivers clear low-light footage. HDR automatically balances exposure across bright and dark areas, helping to capture number plates clearly even under strong headlights at night.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A119 V3 64GB bundle?
A: You get the A119 V3 dash cam, car charger, Mini USB cable, GPS mount, two non-GPS mounts, cable clips and stickers, plus an HK3 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 64GB microSD card.
Q: Is 64GB enough for the A119 V3?
A: Yes for everyday driving. Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically, so the card never fills up, and locked event clips are kept until you delete them. The camera supports cards up to 256GB if you want more footage held before it loops.
Q: Why the HK3 rather than the HK4?
A: The A119 V3 uses a Mini USB power connection, so it takes the HK3 hardwire kit. The newer HK4 is USB-C and suits cameras such as the A119 Mini 2 and A229 range.
