SLICK8D2-V3: 8-inch 1350 W max subwoofer
The SLICK8D2-V3 features the largest magnet assembly and highest motor force ever used on a Vibe entry-level subwoofer. The Vibe-designed Torsion basket houses a large spider assembly, delivering more excursion than any previous SLICK model.
The high temperature 2" (50 mm) 4-layer dual 2-ohm voice coil gives a significant increase in power handling over earlier versions. The semi pressed composite FEA cone, paired with a wide roll stitched foam surround, produces powerful low-frequency response with high fidelity.
Powerful, precise, versatile
The largest magnet structure Vibe has produced in this range, combined with a precision-engineered voice coil, spider pack and cone, gives the SLICK8D2-V3 deep, accurate bass. A redesigned dust cap adds cone strength and a distinctive two-tone floating appearance.
The wide roll foam surround allows high excursion for reproduction of even the lowest frequencies, making this the strongest SLICK series subwoofer Vibe has built.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?
A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.
Q: What impedance is the VIBE SLICK8D2-V3?
A: It has dual 2-ohm voice coils, so it can be wired to suit different amplifier configurations.
Q: How much power does the SLICK8D2-V3 handle?
A: 450 W RMS, 1350 W peak and 2700 W SPL (BURP). Match your amplifier to the 450 W RMS rating.
Q: What size voice coil does the SLICK8D2-V3 have?
A: A high temperature 2 inch (50mm) 4-layer dual 2-ohm voice coil.
