The RetroSound Traffic Motor 2B (TRA-M2) is a Bluetooth 5.0 FM/AM RDS classic car stereo with a 25W RMS x 4 built-in amplifier, 32,000-colour display, rear USB port, dual RCA pre-outs and a subwoofer output. It is part of the RetroSound Motor 2 range, designed for European modern classics — particularly BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz — with single DIN dash openings.

RetroSound Radio Traffic TRA-M2
The Traffic is designed for European vehicles with factory single DIN openings, taking styling cues from OEM radios of the late 1980s to mid-1990s. Its low-profile face, subtle push-buttons and variable-colour display make it a period-correct fit for BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz interiors.
The Motor 2B feature set includes an AM/FM RDS tuner with 30 presets, Bluetooth 5.0 for hands-free calls and audio streaming, and a built-in 25W RMS x 4 MOSFET amplifier. The rear USB port supports flash drives and charges devices at 2.1A. Dual RCA pre-outs and a dedicated subwoofer output allow connection to an external amplifier. The 32,000-colour display is adjustable to match your vehicle's gauge lighting.
The Motor 2B also includes made-for-iPod/iPhone functionality and is compatible with all Android devices. If you need a DAB-equipped alternative, the RetroSound Europa Motor 4 adds DAB to a similar modular platform.

Q: Will this stereo fit my car?
A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.

Q: Does the RetroSound Traffic Motor 2B have DAB?
A: No. The Motor 2B has an AM/FM RDS tuner with 30 presets. For DAB, see the Traffic Motor 4 DAB or Motor 1 DAB.
Q: Can I add an amplifier to the Motor 2B?
A: Yes. It has dual RCA pre-outs for external amplifiers and a dedicated subwoofer output.
Q: Are bezels and knobs included with the Motor 2B?
A: Bezels, knobs, faceplates, mounting hardware and replacement parts are sold separately. The box contains the Traffic radio face, Motor 2B, mounting brackets, bolts, screws and washers, backstrap, microphone, main, speaker and power harnesses, and two plastic spacers.
