TS-A2500LS4

The Pioneer TS-A Series shallow component subwoofers use carefully selected materials to improve bass response and are designed to pair directly with other TS-A Series speakers. At just 87mm deep, the TS-A2500LS4 fits where a standard subwoofer cannot, while its oversized cone delivers up to 1200W of peak bass output.

Designed for enclosed use, the TS-A2500LS4 features a single oversized cone structure with double spiders. The double-spider arrangement increases power handling and reduces distortion while requiring less power to move the cone than a conventional single damper — keeping moving mass low for better efficiency and sound quality.

If you prefer a self-contained powered solution, the Pioneer TS-WX1010LA is a powered shallow active subwoofer also rated at 300W RMS.

About the Pioneer TS-A2500LS4

From our tech experts at CEN

A 10 inch subwoofer, with a shallow mounting depth for vehicles where a conventional sub will not fit, handling 300w RMS.

Who it suits

Drivers adding low end to a system, with an enclosure sized to suit the driver. Shallow designs open up under-seat and tight boot locations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?

A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.

Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?

A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.

Q: What does RMS power mean?

A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.

Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?

A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.

Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?

A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.

Q: How shallow is the TS-A2500LS4?

A: It has a mounting depth of 87 mm and needs a 230 mm cut-out hole.

Q: What enclosure does the TS-A2500LS4 need?

A: It is designed for enclosed use, with a recommended enclosure volume of 17 litres (0.6 ft³).

Q: What impedance is the TS-A2500LS4?

A: It is a single 4 ohm subwoofer rated at 300W RMS nominal input power.
