The Option Audio Plug & Play Amp & Subwoofer for VW ID. Buzz (V1) pairs the pre-programmed OPTION DSP-6.2 six-channel amplifier with an OPTION ROCK-5 20cm sealed subwoofer, designed to fit under the front passenger seat of the first-generation VW ID. Buzz.
This listing is the V1 (amp and subwoofer). If you also want new front speakers, the system is also available as the V2 with OPTION V-165 speakers.

DSP power amplifier
The OPTION DSP-6.2 amplifies the factory audio signal and applies vehicle-specific tuning — time alignment, equalisation and frequency distribution — configured for the ID. Buzz's original front and rear speakers. The V1 delivers noticeably greater volume, clarity and control without replacing any speakers. If you upgrade to OPTION speakers later, the DSP has a dedicated preset ready to use.
Subwoofer
The OPTION ROCK-5 is a compact 20cm sealed subwoofer that sits in the cavity beneath the front passenger seat and fires downwards, distributing bass evenly throughout the cabin. Boot space and usable storage are unaffected.
Plug & play installation
The included vehicle-specific T-cable set connects directly to the radio unit, supplying both the audio signal and power. No separate cable run to the battery is required.

Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
