MATCH M 2FX

2-channel Class GD miniature amplifier

Tiny amplifier with big ambitions – the M 2FX combines smallest dimensions with huge power and highest versatility.

Equipped with an active crossover with high- or lowpass, stereo line input and highlevel inputs with ADEP circuit as well as further top-notch features this ultra compact two channel amplifier perfectly acts as a stand-alone amplifier for demanding speaker systems or as power source for subwoofer applications. Due to its load stability the M 2FX is almost predestined for driving subwoofers with 2 x 2 Ohms impedance.

The proprietary Class GD technology combines excellent sound quality with extraordinary high efficiency. Thanks to its minimal dimensions and low heat dissipation unprecedented space saving and hidden installation concepts can be realized that were previously impossible.

In combination with the five channel amplifier M 5DSP from the MATCH portfolio the M 2FX is literally a “perfect MATCH”.

  • Particularly stable under load - ideal for driving subwoofers with 2 x 2 ohm impedance
  • Integrated, active crossover with high-pass and low-pass filters
  • Line input and high-level inputs with ADEP circuitry
  • Automatic remote switch

Class GD amplifier technology
Audiotec Fischer's unique Class GD concept combines the advantages of Class G technology with the principles of a Class D amplifier. This results in an exceptionally high efficiency, surpassing even conventional Class D amplifiers. The Class GD concept demonstrates its advantages at low and medium output levels by varying the internal supply voltage of the power stages depending on the amplitude of the input signal. The minimized power dissipation allows for extremely compact amplifier dimensions and thus space-saving and concealed installation designs, previously impossible.

Intelligent high-level input
Modern, factory-installed car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent in diagnosing the connected speakers. If an amplifier is connected to the radio instead, error messages often occur, sometimes even resulting in the loss of certain functions (such as the fader). The new ADEP (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection) circuit prevents all these problems without unnecessarily straining the radio's speaker outputs at high volume levels.

Start-stop capability
The power supply in the MATCH M 2FX amplifier ensures a stable internal voltage supply even during brief dips down to 6 volts. This guarantees that the MATCH M 2FX remains fully functional even when the engine is started.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?

A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.

Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?

A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.

Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?

A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.

Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?

A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.

Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?

A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
