About the Hertz HMA FM ANTENNA
From our tech experts at CEN
The Hertz Marine HMA FM ANTENNA is a hideaway dipole FM antenna for Hertz Marine HMR digital media receivers. It is designed to be fitted out of sight, under a console or inside a cabin moulding, while giving the radio a reliable FM signal.
Who it suits
Boat owners who want FM radio without a whip antenna on deck, or whose source unit has no antenna yet. Hertz lists it as optional for the HMR 50, HMR 20, HMR 15, HMR 15 D, HMR 10 and HMR 10 D.
Our tech experts advise
A dipole needs to be laid out flat and kept away from metal, engines and wiring looms, so plan a location inside fibreglass or wood rather than near a steel fitting. Hidden antennas trade some range for neatness, so test reception before closing panels. To plan the install on your boat, get in touch.
