Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: Can the GZRW 25-D2 be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm?
A: Yes. The GZRW 25-D2 has dual 2 ohm voice coils (2x2 ohms), so it can be wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load or in series for a 4 ohm load. Choose the wiring to suit the stable load of your amplifier. Ground Zero recommends 300 to 900W of amplifier power.
Q: What are the Thiele/Small parameters of the GZRW 25-D2?
A: Fs is 26.3 Hz, Qts is 0.54 and Vas is 28.3 litres (1 cu.ft). Xmax is 50 mm.
Q: Can CEN fit this subwoofer for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including enclosure, amplifier and wiring. Contact us to book or ask for a quote.
