FiiO K7 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier 6.35mm 4.4mm Out & USB Optical In

The FiiO K7 is a fully balanced desktop DAC and headphone amplifier, featuring dual AK4493SEQ DACs and dual THX AAA 788+ amplifiers with up to 2000mW output into 32 ohms. It offers 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs alongside USB, optical, coaxial and RCA inputs, and is part of FiiO's desktop DAC range.

Desktop DAC and headphone amplifier

The K7 is a fully balanced headphone amp with THX AAA 788+ amplification, dual AK4493SEQ DACs and a wide range of inputs and outputs. If you need a more advanced option, FiiO also offer the K15 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier.

Truly balanced decoding

The K7 uses a six-stage audio circuit with fully balanced analogue and digital sections, reducing crosstalk and preserving signal integrity throughout.

Balanced amplification

Using the same THX AAA 788+ amplifiers as the K9 Pro, the K7 outputs 560mW into a 300-ohm load and 2000mW into a 32-ohm load, both at 1% THD. This ensures both low- and high-impedance headphones are driven with ease.

Dual DAC configuration

Each channel has its own AK4493SEQ DAC, providing a rich, detailed sound and pleasant timbre across all genres.

Decoding capabilities

The XMOS XUF208 decoder chip uses dual clock management to handle a wide variety of audio formats reliably.

RGB indicator lights

RGB indicators display single and mixed colours, with a light-flow effect during power on/off or input switching.

Protection circuitry

Overheating, overload and DC protection systems keep the K7 operating safely across extended listening sessions.

Power design

The K7 uses a multi-stage independent power design, with each stage regulated by low-noise LDOs, fed by an external 12V switching power supply for clean, stable power delivery.

Input switching

A single button switches between all four inputs, with the RGB light-flow effect confirming when the selected input is active and ready.

Gain control

Hardware high and low gain settings allow the K7 to be matched to headphones of varying impedances and sensitivities.

Build quality

The K7 is constructed from aluminium alloy, CNC-finished in black with gold THX and Hi-Res Audio badge accents and RGB lighting.
