The ESB 3.6K3 is a 3-way component car speaker system from ESB Audio's Tremila Series, comprising 3.165 6.5 inch (165 mm) mid-woofers, 3.90 3.5 inch (90 mm) cone midranges and 3.28 1.1 inch (28 mm) Torcon® dome tweeters. All drivers are 4 ohm, with the mid-woofers rated at 120W RMS.

3.6K3 3-Way Speaker System
3.28 1.1"/28 mm Dome Tweeter
The tweeter uses a Torcon® diaphragm for smooth sound reproduction. The outer suspension is treated with a high-loss damping material to eliminate edge vibration and resonance. The extremely low-mass dome resists mechanical deformation and delivers a smooth, linear, extended frequency response.
The 28 mm voice coil features an aluminium support with light copper-coated aluminium wire. The coil is ventilated and damped with ferrofluid oil.
ESB's SVS ventilation design optimally cools the voice coil and prevents air compression behind the dome.
The neodymium N42 magnet is optimised via computer simulation for improved efficiency and linearity.
3.90 3.5"/90 mm Cone Midrange
Fibreglass-reinforced ABS basket engineered for maximum torsional rigidity with minimum resistance to air passage.
Waterproof-treated pressed paper cone, combining lightness, stiffness and effective damping of unwanted vibration.
Twin symmetrical wave rubber surround using Perbunan® rubber, which remains stable across a wide temperature range.
The 20 mm voice coil uses an aluminium support with double-layer copper wire and aluminium-core winding. High-grade ferrite magnet for strong performance.

Fibreglass-reinforced ABS basket engineered for maximum torsional rigidity with minimum resistance to air passage.

Who it suits
Drivers building a sound-quality front stage who want each driver doing a defined job, with vocals carried by a dedicated midrange. If you would rather keep the install simple, the 3.6K2X 2-way set uses the same mid-woofer with a 1 inch tweeter.

Three-way sets need more space and planning: the 3.5 inch midranges usually go in the dash or upper door, the tweeters high on the pillar. They work best on an amplifier with a processor setting the crossover points and time alignment. Tweeter sensitivity is 94 dB, so level matching matters. Q: Will these speakers fit my car?

Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
