When the engine is running, the ACC power source charges the B3 and your dash cam simultaneously. When the ignition is switched off, ACC power stops and the B3 takes over automatically, keeping your dash cam running without any user input. An intelligent voltage detection system monitors engine status in real time, enabling seamless switching between driving and parking modes.

In a conventional installation where the dash cam draws directly from the vehicle's battery, parking mode recording is typically limited to one to three hours — rarely enough for overnight protection. The B3 removes that limitation whilst also reducing the risk of interference with sensitive onboard electronics, including the ECU, thanks to its isolated power architecture.

With the B3 in your system, parking mode run time is significantly extended and your vehicle's battery remains untouched. This supports reliable engine starts and helps preserve long-term battery health. Installation is simpler than traditional hardwiring, with improved control and power management throughout.

The B3 powers your dash cam in parking mode for up to 50 hours. If you need a smaller unit, the Bloc Power B2 offers up to 35 hours from its 8,000mAh capacity. Actual run times vary depending on dash cam model, number of channels, and user settings.

Expansion

The B3 supports expandable power for greater parking mode coverage. A second battery pack can be connected to increase total capacity and recording time, with a maximum of two batteries linked. The B2 can be combined within the same setup. The optional Bloc Power Expansion Cable is required to connect two units.
