Cellink EXT 7+: smart power control with LiFePO4 technology

Expansion battery pack for NEO 6 and NEO 8+ batteries

Please note: the EXT 7+ is an expansion pack and cannot be used on its own.

Each EXT 7+ has a capacity of 87.04Wh, providing additional constant recording time when powering a dash cam. In real-world use — where the dash cam records only when motion or impact is detected — operation time is typically measured in days rather than hours.

Multiple EXT 7+ packs can be connected in sequence to multiply recording time, up to a maximum of 5 packs.

Cellink NEO battery packs charge a LiFePO4 battery via the cigarette lighter socket or directly from the vehicle's electrical system while the engine runs. When the ignition is off, the charged battery powers the dash cam without drawing from the vehicle battery, reducing the risk of battery discharge or low-voltage warnings.

  • Plug & Play: connects to the Cellink NEO battery pack with a single cable

About the Cellink EXT 7+

From our tech experts at CEN

A dedicated dash cam battery pack, powering parking mode from its own cells so the vehicle battery is never touched.

Who it suits

Drivers who park on the street or leave the car for days at a time, and EV owners, where drawing from the 12V system in parking mode is best avoided. It is also the answer on cars whose voltage cutoff keeps shutting the camera down early.

Our tech experts advise

It charges while you drive, so a normal commute keeps it topped up. Mount it somewhere secure and ventilated, usually under a seat or in the boot. We fit battery packs alongside camera installs at our Beeston workshop. See dash cam installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this accessory compatible with my dash cam?

A: Dash cam accessories are generally model-specific. The compatible camera models are listed in the product description, and you can contact CEN to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Q: What does a hardwire kit do?

A: A hardwire kit powers your dash cam directly from the vehicle's fusebox, hiding the cable and enabling parking mode. Kits include battery protection so your car battery is never drained below a safe level.

Q: Why would I add a dash cam battery pack?

A: A battery pack powers parking mode for longer periods without drawing on your car battery at all. It charges while you drive and is the recommended option for extended parking protection.

Q: Can CEN fit this accessory?

A: Yes. CEN offers professional dash cam and accessory installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book.

Q: Can the Cellink EXT 7+ be used on its own?

A: No. The EXT 7+ is an expansion pack and must be connected to a Cellink NEO 6 or NEO 8+ battery pack using the included expansion connection cable.

Q: How many EXT 7+ packs can I connect?

A: Up to five EXT 7+ expansion packs can be connected in sequence to multiply parking mode recording time.

Q: What is the capacity of the Cellink EXT 7+?

A: Each EXT 7+ holds 12.8V / 6,800mAh, which is 87.04Wh, using LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells. Running time depends on your dash cam, with up to 10 to 23 hours of use quoted.
