Audison's R&D team designed the AV 3.0 II around a single goal: extreme linearity. Powerful motor for better performance

The AV 3.0 II features a powerful neodymium motor with a T-shaped pole piece incorporating an aluminium ring, which minimises distortion during high excursions and linearises frequency response. The magnetic assembly geometry was optimised using FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation software, concentrating the magnetic field in the voice coil to improve efficiency and precision. The result is dynamic, distortion-free sound even during complex, rapid musical passages.

Minimum inductance for an extended frequency response

A copper short-circuit ring in the motor magnetically saturates the pole piece to reduce voice coil inductance modulation. This achieves greater extension towards the upper midrange frequencies, improving clarity and response linearity.

Reduced by 20% in depth with no compromise in performance

A completely new motor layout delivers a nearly 20% reduction in mounting depth with no loss in power handling, excursion or low-end response. This was achieved through a voice coil with 30% greater diameter and a higher-grade neodymium magnet that delivers more magnetic strength in a smaller package.

OEM and Faston connectors for perfect integration

The AV 3.0 II offers dual connection options: an OEM-style automotive connector and traditional Faston connectors. Installers can choose whichever method suits the project, simplifying the installation process and ensuring optimal results for both sound performance and vehicle integration.
