About the Audison AV 1.0 II
From our tech experts at CEN
The Audison Voce II AV 1.0 II is an Audison Voce II range 1 inch (25mm) Tetolon soft dome tweeter rated at 150W peak. It uses a neodymium magnet and CCAW voice coil, with a frequency response of 1,200 Hz to 40,000 Hz at 4 ohm. Each unit ships with a dedicated grille.
Who it suits
This tweeter suits drivers building a 2-way component system or upgrading OEM high-frequency performance. Its natural treble and consistent off-axis response work well in A-pillar and dash locations. Drivers wanting a larger silk and cotton dome option may consider the Audison Voce AV 1.1 at 28mm.
Our tech experts advise
Always pair the AV 1.0 II with a crossover — its rated response starts at 1,200 Hz and it should not be run full range. At 4 ohm nominal impedance, it is a standard car audio load. Plan tweeter placement carefully before fitting, as position affects stereo imaging. Car audio installation is priced per vehicle; see our Nottingham installation page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can the Audison AV 1.1 II tweeters be mounted?
A: The box includes FP1 and FP2 faceplates, a watch band mount, a double angle cup, a flush mounting ring and a metal mounting spring, so the tweeters can be flush, surface or angle mounted.
Q: Do the AV 1.1 II tweeters need a crossover?
A: Yes. The continuous power rating of 10W is quoted with the tweeter high-pass filtered at 1.8kHz at 12dB per octave, so they should be run through a passive crossover or an amplifier or DSP high-pass filter.
Q: Are the AV 1.1 II tweeters Hi-Res certified?
A: Yes. The Tetolon dome complies with Hi-Res Audio (JAS) requirements, with a frequency response extending to 40kHz.
Q: Can CEN fit these tweeters?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
