ThinPRO10 2 Ohm 10" Professional Series shallow subwoofer

The ThinPRO10 is a shallow-mount subwoofer with a 2.9" mounting depth, designed to fit tight spaces without sacrificing performance.

Dual mirrored NBR spiders and an axial force transfer assembly deliver 20mm of linear xmax. The FEA-optimised dual-gap motor structure, powered by double-stacked strontium magnets, maximises control and output for deep, powerful bass.

The ThinPRO10 uses a composite Nomex® and glass fibre honeycomb cone — rigid yet lightweight — paired with a 4.5" voice coil for 750W RMS power handling in a compact form factor.

Enclosure requirements:

  • Sealed: 0.25–0.8 cu ft (optimum 0.35 cu ft)
  • Ported: 0.8–1.5 cu ft (optimum 1.0 cu ft)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?

A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.

Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?

A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.

Q: What does RMS power mean?

A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.

Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?

A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.

Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?

A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.

Q: How deep is the Wavtech ThinPRO10?

A: The ThinPRO10 has a mounting depth of 2.9 inches (7.4cm), so it suits shallow enclosures under seats, behind seats and in tight boot spaces.

Q: What box size does the ThinPRO10 need?

A: Sealed boxes of 0.25 to 0.8 cu ft (optimum 0.35 cu ft) or ported boxes of 0.8 to 1.5 cu ft (optimum 1.0 cu ft).

Q: Is a grille included with the ThinPRO10?

A: Yes, a protective grille is included.
