The Tempo Ultra MKII

The Tempo Ultra MKII range offers both 2-way component and Integra point source speakers, giving flexible options for a range of installations.

The Tempo Ultra Integra MKII uses a point source design where the woofer and tweeter share the same chassis. Unlike a standard coaxial, the recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone. This minimises phase error and keeps the sound field consistent in all directions, creating near-perfect time alignment.

Handcrafted soft dome tweeters and woofers with oversized voice coils and robust magnet systems give the Tempo Ultra Integra MKII strong power handling with low distortion. The result is solid bass response without needing a subwoofer, alongside Morel's characteristic tonal balance, detail and vocal clarity.

The Tempo Ultra Integra MKII is also available in 5", 6", 5x7" and 6x9" for direct fitment in many factory locations.

Integra

Integra refers to Morel's point source speaker design, where both woofer and tweeter share a common chassis. The recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone — not offset as in a conventional coaxial — minimising phase error and maintaining a consistent sound field in all directions for near-perfect time alignment.

Paper Cone

Morel's treated paper composite cones are ultra-lightweight, making them well suited to drivers using smaller motors and voice coils. Paper remains a highly effective cone material, offering an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio that has made it a loudspeaker staple since the earliest designs.

Our tech experts advise

Sizes, adapter rings and harnesses vary by vehicle, year and trim, so we confirm what your car takes before ordering rather than guessing. Door treatment and tweeter placement change the result as much as the driver does, and speakers at this level deserve an amplifier. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these speakers fit my car?

A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.

Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?

A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.

Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?

A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.

Q: Do these come as a pair?

A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.

Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?

A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.

Q: Is the Morel Integra 402 MKII a coaxial speaker?

A: It works like a coaxial in that the woofer and tweeter share one chassis, but Morel's Integra design recesses the tweeter and aligns it concentrically with the woofer cone. This point source layout minimises phase error for near-perfect time alignment.

Q: Are grilles included with the Integra 402 MKII?

A: No. Grilles are not included. The box contains the two 2-way speakers, screws, speed clips, crimp-on quick slides with insulating covers, installation instructions and a Morel window sticker.

Q: How much power can the Integra 402 MKII handle?

A: Each speaker handles up to 60 watts RMS (140 watts peak), with 85dB sensitivity at 2.83V and a frequency response of 80Hz to 22kHz.
