JL Audio's patented High Output Enclosures combine sound quality with high output in a compact package. The 12W6v3's high power handling and modest enclosure requirements keep the overall system size down while remaining capable of impressive output with moderate amplification.
JL Audio's patented chamber-coupled port design (U.S. patent #6,625,292) wraps around the inner enclosure boundary and terminates just above the woofer, coupling port output directly to the woofer's output. This provides the surface area and port length needed to maximise W6v3 driver performance. The ported alignment has been engineered specifically for the 12W6v3 and refined through real-world listening.
The system ships wired, loaded and ready to connect via a five-way binding post terminal. No grille is included, though the recessed mounting baffle offers some woofer protection. A steel mesh grille insert (Model: SGR-12W6v2/v3) is available separately.
