ESB Tremila 3.10D4 10"/250 mm 4+4 Ohm DVC Subwoofer
This ESB subwoofer is a precision loudspeaker that was designed to produce very high-quality sub-bass frequency performance in a car. To maximize the performance of this subwoofer we highly recommend using a dedicated enclosure. Inside the included datasheet are specifications and two recommended enclosures: one is a sealed enclosure; the other is a ported design. Both types of enclosures will give excellent sound quality and low-frequency extension. The sealed enclosure is a better choice if space is extremely tight, while the ported enclosure will produce 3dB more output with the same power if there is extra space to work with.
Features
- Non-pressed paper cone with long throw foam surround.
- Dual 44.7 Oz ferrite magnet, 2”/50 mm voice coil.
- Steel basket with anti-resonant painting.

About the ESB Audio 3.10D4
From our tech experts at CEN
The ESB 3.10D4 is a 10 inch (250mm) dual voice coil component subwoofer from ESB's Tremila (3000) series, rated at 300w RMS continuous with dual 4 ohm impedance. It uses a non-pressed paper cone with a long-throw foam surround and a 50mm voice coil. An enclosure is required but not included; ESB's datasheet specifies both sealed and ported designs.
Who it suits
This subwoofer suits drivers building a dedicated car audio system who want flexible amplifier wiring from a dual voice coil driver. Those wanting a less demanding option can look at the ESB HB 1.10S4, a single-coil 200w RMS alternative.
Our tech experts advise
Pair this driver with an amplifier delivering 100–300w RMS into the chosen wiring configuration. A ported enclosure produces 3dB more output than a sealed box at the same power level; a sealed enclosure suits tighter spaces. Fitting cost is priced per vehicle — visit our Nottingham car audio installation page for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.
Q: How does the ESB HR 11 SW fit in my car?
A: It is designed to sit inside the rim of your spare tyre. It measures 360 x 360 x 126 mm, so check your spare wheel well before ordering, or ask CEN to confirm fitment.
Q: Will the HR 11 SW work with my factory stereo?
A: Yes. It has both low-level and high-level (speaker) inputs, so it can connect to factory and aftermarket head units.
Q: What can I adjust with the HR 11 SW remote?
A: The included remote adjusts volume, switches phase between non-inverted and inverted, sets the crossover between 50 and 150 Hz and adds up to 12 dB of bass boost.
