Dodo Thermo Liner V3 6mm
Dodo's best-selling Thermo Liner is now available as an improved Version 3. The flexible closed cell elastomeric foam has been upgraded with better thermal performance, combining low thermal conductivity with high water vapour diffusion resistance. The self-adhesive surface has been made rougher for improved grip on metal panels, and the release paper is stronger and easier to remove.
- Improved thermal performance
- Stronger adhesive
- Easier to install
Thermo Liner is a high-grade foil-lined nitrile closed cell foam, ideal for van sides, floor, roof and similar surfaces. It is designed specifically for the UK vehicle market and suits camper vans, van conversions, Land Rover builds and vehicle restorations. Cut, peel and stick installation keeps the cabin warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and reduces road noise for a less tiring drive.
For panel-level vibration damping before applying insulation, Dodo Mat also offer the DEADN Hex Sound Deadening sheets.

About the Dodo Mat DOD-THERMO-10
From our tech experts at CEN
Acoustic absorbing foam, for soaking up the reflections a hard-surfaced vehicle interior creates, 6mm from Dodo Mat.
Who it suits
Van and camper conversions, and anywhere road and wind noise is the problem rather than panel resonance. Foam and butyl do different jobs and work best together.
Our tech experts advise
Coverage matters more than thickness: treat the outer skin behind the speaker first, then the inner. It is messy, fiddly work inside a door, which is why we normally do it as part of an install rather than sell it as a weekend job. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much sound deadening do I need for my car?
A: As a guide, a pair of front doors takes around 1 to 1.5 square metres, and a full car between 4 and 6 square metres depending on coverage. The sheet coverage for this product is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Where should I apply sound deadening first?
A: Doors give the biggest gain for both road noise and speaker performance, followed by the boot floor and wheel arches. Even a doors-only install noticeably tightens speaker bass.
Q: Is sound deadening difficult to fit myself?
A: It is one of the more DIY-friendly upgrades: panels are cut to shape, peeled and rolled firmly onto clean metal. A roller tool and panel removal tools make the job much easier, or CEN can carry out installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will sound deadening improve my audio system?
A: Yes. Deadening the doors reduces panel resonance so speakers produce cleaner, tighter bass, and lowering road noise means you hear more detail at normal volumes.
Q: How much does one roll of Dodo Thermo Liner V3 cover?
A: Each roll is 1m x 10m, covering 10 square metres (107 square feet). A single 10 sq.m roll is suitable for a complete van or 4x4.
Q: Does Dodo Thermo Liner help with condensation and heat?
A: Yes. It is a moisture resistant closed cell nitrile foam with reinforced reflective foil and a thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK. It reduces condensation and acts as a barrier against heat loss, keeping the vehicle warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Q: Is Dodo Thermo Liner V3 fire tested for vehicle use?
A: Yes. It is flammability tested for vehicle interiors to ISO 3795:1989.
