Dodo Mat DEADN Duo Roll is a 4.5mm two-in-one sound deadening and thermal insulation roll from Dodo Mat, combining a 1.5mm butyl rubber deadening layer with a 3mm closed cell foam insulation layer in a single peel-and-stick application. One 5m roll covers 2.5 sq.m, making it well suited to van and camper conversion floors, footwells and boot areas.

Typical uses:
- Load area underlay for van and camper conversions.
- Reducing road, transmission and exhaust noise in front footwells and boot areas.

With soundproofing and insulation combined in one product, simply peel and stick onto the metalwork in a single step. It kills vibrations, blocks noise and insulates the panel.
Sound deadening layer
The 1.5mm butyl rubber deadening layer reduces panel vibration and acts as a barrier to airborne noise. A higher rubber-to-mineral-filler ratio improves vibration damping and noise reduction. Applied to interior sheet metal, DEADN Duo destroys unwanted vibrations and structural noise. If you need deadening without a foam top layer, Dodo Mat also offers the DEADN Hex in a 50-sheet pack.
Insulation layer
DEADN Duo features an integral 3mm Dodo Super Liner top layer. This closed cell foam has excellent thermal and acoustic properties. It acts as a thermal insulating layer to help stabilise cabin temperatures throughout the year and reduce the risk of condensation forming.
Convenience
Supplied as one continuous 5m roll (50cm wide), making it ideal for custom work and large floor areas. If you need a thicker foam-only liner, the Dodo Mat DEAD-EZY Liner 5m Roll offers a 5mm insulation layer over the same 2.5 sq.m coverage.

Q: How much sound deadening do I need for my car?
A: As a guide, a pair of front doors takes around 1 to 1.5 square metres, and a full car between 4 and 6 square metres depending on coverage. The sheet coverage for this product is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Where should I apply sound deadening first?
A: Doors give the biggest gain for both road noise and speaker performance, followed by the boot floor and wheel arches. Even a doors-only install noticeably tightens speaker bass.
Q: Is sound deadening difficult to fit myself?
A: It is one of the more DIY-friendly upgrades: panels are cut to shape, peeled and rolled firmly onto clean metal. A roller tool and panel removal tools make the job much easier, or CEN can carry out installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will sound deadening improve my audio system?
A: Yes. Deadening the doors reduces panel resonance so speakers produce cleaner, tighter bass, and lowering road noise means you hear more detail at normal volumes.
Q: Do I need separate insulation on top of DEADN Duo?
A: DEADN Duo already combines a 1.5mm butyl deadening layer with a 3mm closed cell foam insulation layer, so floors and boot areas are deadened and insulated in one application.
Q: Does Dodo Mat DEADN Duo need heating to fit?
A: No. It is soft and flexible and does not require heating. Simply peel and stick it onto clean metalwork.
