The Blaupunkt Frankfurt Stereo is a retro-styled 1-DIN car radio based on the 1970s original, featuring a 3-inch TFT colour display, DAB+ and FM tuner (Blaupunkt Codem IV), Bluetooth Twin Connect, USB-A, USB-C and AUX. It is part of Blaupunkt's retro classic car radio range.

Frankfurt Stereo
The Frankfurt Stereo combines the classic look of a 1970s dashboard radio with up-to-date technology. The pinstripe front, chrome frame, and rotary and push buttons deliver genuine retro character in a classic car cockpit. The Blaupunkt Codem IV high-end tuner provides FM and DAB+ reception, while the 3-inch TFT colour display can be switched between digital and analogue scale modes.

Bluetooth Twin Connect handles audio streaming and hands-free calling, with access to the smartphone phone book and voice assistants including Siri and Google. There is also a USB charging function for mobile phones and a steering wheel remote control connection.
Sound output is 4x 75W at 2 ohms, supported by a 4-channel pre-amp output, sub-out, digital signal processing and a 2x 14-band equaliser. Various sound presets are included for everyday use.
The unit installs in multiple dashboard configurations. Mounting hardware for axle (shaft) mounting and standard 1-DIN slots is included in the box. If you prefer a more OEM-style look, the Blaupunkt Nürnberg 200 Pro Line is a comparable option with a subtler finish.

A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.
