The Alpine iLX-W650BT is a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen digital media receiver with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth 4.2, built on a shallow 60 mm chassis for vehicles without full-depth DIN openings. It is part of Alpine's iLX digital media receiver range.

Featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
The Alpine iLX-W650BT features a 7-inch hi-res capacitive touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The unit includes high-speed USB smartphone charging and Bluetooth audio streaming. The chassis is only 60 mm deep, allowing installation in vehicles without a full-depth DIN opening.
Note: the AM/FM tuner does not have RDS capabilities. If you need DAB radio in a 7-inch Alpine unit, see the Alpine ILX-705D.
Seamless smartphone connectivity
The iLX-W650BT lets you use music apps such as Spotify and Amazon Music, and navigation apps such as Google Maps, directly through the touchscreen via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Simple swipe controls
Multi-touch gestures work across the full 7-inch screen. A two-finger swipe up or down adjusts volume; left or right skips tracks. Pinch-to-zoom controls navigation maps in CarPlay and Android Auto.
Easy navigation
Launch Apple CarPlay or Android Auto maps from the receiver or use the voice button for turn-by-turn directions. Front and rear camera inputs allow camera feeds to be displayed on screen for driving and parking assistance.
Apple CarPlay
The iLX-W650BT is certified Works with Apple CarPlay. iPhone users can make and receive calls, access messages, play music and get directions via the touchscreen or by pressing the mic button to activate Siri. Compatible with iPhone 5 and later via Apple Lightning cable.
Android Auto
Android Auto requires a USB cable and Bluetooth connection, an Android phone running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher, and the Android Auto app. Say "OK Google" or press the mic button to activate Google Assistant for music playback, navigation, smart home control and hands-free messaging.
High-speed charging
Connect your smartphone via USB to benefit from high-speed charging while you drive.
Shallow installation depth
At just 60 mm deep, the iLX-W650BT fits vehicles with 2DIN openings that lack full DIN depth. The unit is also KTA-450 power pack ready for straightforward amplifier expansion.
Sound tuning
Sound processing includes a 9-band parametric EQ, 6-channel digital time correction, digital crossover and Alpine's MediaXpander for enhanced playback of compressed audio files.
Built-in Bluetooth
Bluetooth 4.2 supports hands-free calling and audio streaming. Supported profiles: HFP, PBAP, A2DP and AVRCP.

Q: Will this stereo fit my car?
A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.

Q: Does the Alpine iLX-W650BT have wireless Apple CarPlay?
A: No. Apple CarPlay on the iLX-W650BT is wired, with the iPhone connected via an Apple Lightning cable. Android Auto needs both a USB cable and a Bluetooth connection.
