Which Connection Power, Wiring & Accessories should I choose?

For a single amplifier, the Connection First FSK wiring kits are the simplest option — everything arrives in one box. Choose the FSK 175 for amplifiers up to 175W (10 AWG), FSK 350 for up to 350W (8 AWG), or FSK 700 for up to 700W (4 AWG); all three include a 4.5 m RCA interconnect and speaker cable. The FPK 700 is a 4 AWG power-only kit for those who already have signal cables.

For multi-amplifier setups, a distribution block is required. The BFD 21 and BFD 41 provide individually fused AFS outputs; the SFD 41C adds a combined 5-position ground distribution block in a single unit. If your factory head unit has no RCA outputs, the SLI 2.2 (2-channel) or SLI 4 (4-channel) line out converter lets you add an amplifier without replacing the head unit.

Connection Power, Wiring & Accessories FAQs

Q: What is the difference between the FSK and FPK wiring kits?

A: The FSK kits (FSK 175, FSK 350, FSK 700) are complete kits including power, ground, remote turn-on, a 4.5 m RCA interconnect and speaker cable. The FPK 700 covers power, ground and remote turn-on only — no signal or speaker cables are included.

Q: Do the Connection First wiring kits include an RCA cable?

A: The FSK 175, FSK 350 and FSK 700 all include a 4.5 m FS2 450 RCA interconnect. The FPK 700 does not, as it is a power-wiring-only kit.

Q: What is the difference between the SLI 2.2 and SLI 4 line out converters?

A: The SLI 2.2 is a 2-channel converter and the SLI 4 is a 4-channel converter; both convert speaker-level signals from a factory head unit to RCA line outputs so an aftermarket amplifier can be added without replacing the head unit.

Q: What is the difference between the fused and unfused distribution blocks?

A: The BFD 21, BFD 41 and SFD 41C are AFS fused blocks that protect each output individually, while the BDB 51 is unfused and is intended for use where fusing is already present elsewhere in the system.

Q: Can Connection wiring and accessories be professionally fitted at CEN?

A: Yes — CEN's fitting workshop in Beeston, Nottingham, can install Connection wiring kits, distribution blocks and accessories as part of a full car audio installation.
