Engineering pedigree

QED has been designing and engineering analogue and digital cables for more than 45 years. The Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable draws on the company's cable research dating back to 1995.

Supports full 8K video content

HDMI 2.1 raises the maximum data throughput from 16 Gb/s (HDMI 2.0 Premium) to 48 Gb/s, enabling uncompressed 8K@60Hz (4:2:0) with 12-bit HDR and uncompressed 4K@120Hz. Maximum compressed resolution reaches up to 10K@120Hz. Dynamic HDR and eARC are supported across all HDMI 2.1 compatible equipment.

Triple shielding cable design

QED Ultra High Speed HDMI cables undergo mandatory testing at an HDMI Forum authorised testing centre, covering compatibility with HDMI 2.1 video standards and electromagnetic radiation levels. QED's triple-shielding design reduces the risk of interference with wireless networks, streaming media players, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones.

HDMI accreditation

QED is among the first brands to adopt the Ultra High Speed HDMI cable category. The QE6033 carries official Ultra High Speed Certification Program approval from an HDMI Forum accredited laboratory. Scan the QR code on the label using the official HDMI app to verify authenticity.

Backward compatible

Fully backward compatible with HDMI 2.0b and 1.4b standards, ensuring continued use alongside existing equipment.

eFlex design

The QE6033 has a maximum diameter of 7.3 mm and a matte black Ultra Matte PVC jacket for a slim, flexible build suited to use with thin TVs. Conductors remain 99.999% Oxygen Free Copper throughout.

Performance 8K60 HDR

The HDMI 2.1 standard, introduced in 2018, increased the maximum HDMI data rate from 16 Gb/s to 48 Gb/s to accommodate the uncompressed 8K@60Hz video standard (8K60 4:2:0).

Ultra High Speed HDMI

Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are subject to additional testing under the Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable Certification Programme™, covering quality for feature-rich 8K content as well as authentication and verification.

High Dynamic Range

HDR delivers greater contrast ratio and more brightness steps for improved detail in both bright and shadowy areas. Wide Colour Gamut (WCG), which expands the available colour palette, is also supported by the QED Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
