Arctic CP Filter, Benjamin Hardman Series, Helix
Model: ARTC-CP-HLX
The Arctic CP Filter was designed in collaboration with photographer Benjamin Hardman for shooting in the harsh, low-light conditions of the Arctic. The 45% light transmission — around half a stop brighter than traditional polarisers — recovers detail in glaciers, icebergs and wildlife scenes without sacrificing colour accuracy.
The slim frame is compatible with lens hoods for use with your full setup.
- High Transmission Polariser (45%) – approximately half a stop brighter than standard polarisers.
- Chroma Polarisation Technology – accurate colour rendition with no colour shift.
- Short Throw Rotation (110°) – full polarisation range in a 110° turn.
- Glove-Friendly Surface – enlarged grip for smooth adjustments in cold conditions.
- Lens Hood Compatible – slim frame works with lens hoods.
- Field-Tested in Greenland – used by Benjamin Hardman on a sailing voyage through Arctic ice fields.
- Includes filter and Defenders. Requires Helix Base Plates, sold separately.
Built for the Arctic. Trusted by Benjamin Hardman.
Benjamin Hardman tested the Arctic CP Filter on his Greenland voyage, where reliable polarisation in extreme low-light was essential. Higher transmission, fast 110° control, flawless colour rendition and hood-ready compatibility make it suited to conditions that push both photographer and gear to the limit.
Reflections Reduced, Contrast Enhanced
Chroma Polarisation combined with 110° short-throw rotation and a hood-compatible slim frame delivers precise polarisation control without compromise.
MagLock Technology
Helix MagLock uses a magnetic design that holds filters and Defender caps securely in place until you are ready to swap them.

About the PolarPro ARTC-CP-HLX
From our tech experts at CEN
A circular polarising filter, from the Benjamin Hardman signature series.
Who it suits
Anyone shooting water, glass, foliage or skies. A polariser removes reflections and deepens colour in a way no editing can genuinely replicate, because it is removing light that never should have reached the sensor.
Our tech experts advise
Rotate it while watching the effect rather than setting and forgetting; the strength changes with your angle to the sun. Check the thread size against your lens first. get in touch for advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which filter do I need - ND, polariser or variable ND?
A: A polariser cuts glare and deepens colour. Fixed ND filters reduce light by a set amount for controlled shutter speeds. Variable NDs adjust across a range, making them the flexible choice for video. The filter type and strength are listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Will this filter fit my lens or drone?
A: Filters are made per thread size or per drone model. Check the size in the product title and Specification tab against your lens thread or drone model, or contact CEN to confirm.
Q: Do filters degrade image quality?
A: Quality glass filters are designed to be optically neutral. Cheap filters can introduce colour casts and softness, which is why we stock cinema-grade brands with strong colour accuracy.
Q: Does the PolarPro Arctic CP Filter Helix need a base plate?
A: Yes. It is a Helix MagLock filter, so it attaches to a Helix Base Plate threaded onto your lens. Base plates are sold separately.
Q: How much light does the Arctic CP Filter Helix let through?
A: It has 45% light transmission, about half a stop brighter than standard polarisers, with 110° short-throw rotation and Chroma Polarisation.
