About the PolarPro 49-67-SUR

From our tech experts at CEN

The PolarPro 49mm to 67mm Step-Up Ring (49-67-SUR) lets you fit 67mm filters to a lens with a 49mm filter thread. It has a CNC machined brass frame with a matte-black electroplated finish that helps stop reflections, and deeply knurled edges for grip when fitting and removing.

Who it suits

Anyone with a 49mm lens who wants to share one set of 67mm filters across several lenses rather than buying each filter twice. It works well if you already own, or plan to buy, 67mm glass such as the McKinnon 67mm Chroma PL.

Our tech experts advise

Check the filter thread on your lens first; it is usually printed on the front of the barrel or the inside of the lens cap. Screw the ring in gently, as brass and aluminium threads can bind if overtightened. On very wide lenses, a larger filter on a step-up ring can add a little bulk, so test framing at the widest setting. If you are unsure, get in touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which filter do I need - ND, polariser or variable ND?

A: A polariser cuts glare and deepens colour. Fixed ND filters reduce light by a set amount for controlled shutter speeds. Variable NDs adjust across a range, making them the flexible choice for video. The filter type and strength are listed in the Specification tab.

Q: Will this filter fit my lens or drone?

A: Filters are made per thread size or per drone model. Check the size in the product title and Specification tab against your lens thread or drone model, or contact CEN to confirm.

Q: What does a 49mm to 67mm step-up ring do?

A: It screws into a lens with a 49mm filter thread and gives you a 67mm thread, so you can fit 67mm filters to that lens.

Q: What is the step-up ring made of?

A: It has a CNC machined brass frame with a matte-black electroplated finish and knurled edges for grip.

Q: What comes in the box?

A: One 49mm to 67mm step-up ring.
