About the Pioneer SPH-20DAB
From our tech experts at CEN
A single-DIN head unit with DAB radio, replacing the factory stereo.
Who it suits
Drivers who want reliable Bluetooth, USB and radio without a large screen — older vehicles, work vans and classics where a modern display would look wrong.
Our tech experts advise
The unit is the straightforward part. A vehicle-specific facia kit, a wiring harness and usually a steering wheel control interface decide whether the finished job looks factory or aftermarket, and those parts differ by model, year and trim. We confirm exactly what your vehicle needs before ordering — get in touch. See car stereo installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this stereo fit my car?
A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.
Q: Can CEN supply and fit the stereo?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional supply and installation from our Nottingham premises, including fascia, wiring and steering control integration. Contact us for a fitted price.
Q: What is the difference between the SPH-20DAB and SPH-10BT?
A: The SPH-20DAB has all the features of the SPH-10BT with the addition of DAB/DAB+ digital radio.
Q: Is a DAB aerial included with the SPH-20DAB?
A: A DAB antenna is listed as optional (Pioneer CA-AN-DAB.001). The box contains the stereo, a wired microphone and a wiring loom.
Q: Does the SPH-20DAB have a screen?
A: It uses your smartphone as the display, held in the built-in cradle and connected to the Pioneer Smart Sync app. The smartphone is sold separately.
