Powering your headphones
The ZEN DAC 3 features a 390mW headphone amplifier with both balanced 4.4mm and SE 6.35mm outputs, compatible with a wide range of headphones.
XBass+ adds bass enhancement via a pure analogue circuit suited to IEMs or open-back headphones. PowerMatch provides switchable gain for more demanding headphones. For additional power, pair the ZEN DAC 3 with the ZEN CAN via a 4.4mm balanced cable to build a stacked ZEN system.

A Variable/Fixed output switch gives the ZEN DAC 3 flexible connectivity. In Variable mode, control volume with the front knob when connecting directly to active speakers via iFi's 4.4mm to XLR or RCA cables. Use Fixed mode to feed a line-level signal to a receiver or main amplifier.
USB-C powered, upgradeable performance
Powered by USB-C for simple cable management, the ZEN DAC 3 also has a 5V power input for an optional upgrade. Pairing it with the iFi iPower2 — an ultra-quiet power supply with Active Noise Cancellation II — eliminates EMI and RFI noise for a cleaner audio signal.
