Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What impedance is the GZHW 25XSPL-D1?
A: It has dual 1 ohm voice coils (2 x 1 ohms). Wired in series it presents a 2 ohm load; in parallel, 0.5 ohm.
Q: How much amplifier power does the GZHW 25XSPL-D1 need?
A: It is rated at 1200W RMS (2500W SPL), and Ground Zero recommends 800 - 2500 Watts of amplifier power.
Q: What is the difference between the GZHW 25XSPL-D1 and 25XSPL-D2?
A: They share the same 10 inch SPL design and 1200W RMS rating. The D1 has dual 1 ohm voice coils and the D2 has dual 2 ohm voice coils, so choose the one that suits the load your amplifier is stable into.
