Install a Pioneer Dash Camera for peace of mind by protecting you from fraudulent insurance claims by being able to use the recorded footage in the event of an incident, giving you the ability to identify who is at fault quickly and easily.
The Pioneer VREC-150MD is a 2-Channel front facing 'mirror type' Dash Camera with a 6.7" touchscreen, that mounts over the centre rear view mirror. The front camera has a Wide Viewing Angle of 150°, allowing you to capture data that other cameras cannot. Pioneer's VREC-150MD also includes a Rear View camera, designed to be mounted externally for rear view recording and combines as a reverse camera to aid parking by expanding your field of vision.

Full HD
In addition to installing a CMOS sensor that realises high sensitivity, this product records in Full HD (1920 x 1080p) with about 2 million pixels of high resolution so you can record clear high-quality characters such as a license plate, in the day or night.
150° Wide Viewing Angle
Record larger amounts of information with less blind spots, such as a motorcycle passing from the left or right or a pedestrian or bicycle jumping out.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
Enhances the light and dark dynamic range and corrects the images, compensating for "overexposure" and "underexposure" that occurs when the brightness changes suddenly, such as at night, or when entering or exiting a tunnel.
The VREC-150MD is easy to connect thanks to the supplied cigar charger power connector.
The VREC-150MD is compatible with a 8 to 64GB microSD Card (Class 10) maximum.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
