The Pioneer VREC-150MD is a 2-channel mirror-type dash cam with a 6.7" IPS touchscreen, recording Full HD 1080p at the front and 720p AHD at the rear. It mounts over your existing rear-view mirror and is part of Pioneer's VREC dash cam range.

VREC-150MD 2-Channel (Front & Rear) Mirror Dash Camera
Full HD, 30fps, 150° wide viewing angle. The rear camera doubles as a reversing camera to help with parking.
The VREC-150MD mounts over your centre rear-view mirror, giving you a clean 6.7" touchscreen display without cluttering your windscreen. The front camera captures a 150° field of view, reducing blind spots and recording clear footage day or night. The included rear camera mounts externally for continuous rear recording and activates automatically as a reversing camera when you select reverse gear.
2-Channel Dash Cam
Records simultaneously from both the front and rear, giving you full coverage in the event of an incident.
Full HD
The front camera records at Full HD (1920 x 1080p) using a high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, capturing fine detail such as number plates clearly in both day and night conditions.
150° Wide Viewing Angle
The wide 150° front viewing angle reduces blind spots, capturing hazards such as motorcycles filtering past or pedestrians stepping out from the side.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
WDR balances exposure automatically, correcting overexposed or underexposed frames when lighting changes suddenly — such as entering or exiting a tunnel or driving at night.
The VREC-150MD is powered via the supplied 5m cigar charger cable, compatible with 12V and 24V vehicles. It accepts microSD cards from 8GB up to 64GB Class 10 (sold separately). Pioneer does not guarantee microSD card compatibility.

A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
