Key specifications
- Type: 2-way component kit
- Woofer: 130 mm (5.25") C 130, SPP-M cone
- Tweeter: 26 mm (1") C 26 Tetolon dome
- Power handling continuous / peak: 70 / 210 W
- Impedance: 4 ohms
- Sensitivity: 92 dB SPL
- Frequency response: 65 Hz to 22.5 kHz
- Crossover: CCX 2, 2.5 kHz @ 12 dB/oct, tweeter level 0 / +3 dB
- Grilles: CG 100 included
Tweeter: C 26
The C 26 tweeter uses a 26 mm (1 in.) Tetolon® dome with a 20 mm (0.8 in.) voice coil for detailed, natural reproduction of mid-high frequencies. Hertz's R&D team optimised the C 26's dispersion characteristics to deliver a natural, progressive roll-off and consistent frequency linearity at the listening point.
Woofer: C 130
The C 130 woofer cone is made from SPP-M (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica), which combines the natural sound of semi-pressed paper with Mica powder for improved rigidity. This delivers a strong balance between lightness and damping for powerful, controlled output. An oversized ferrite magnet maintains control at higher excursions.
Crossover: CCX 2
The ultra-compact CCX 2 crossover includes a tweeter emission level control (0 / +3 dB) and uses selected components for a full, engaging sound.
Grilles: CG 100
CG 100 grilles are included with the CK 130. Made from high-resistance ABS with a metal mesh face, they offer solid protection in a compact form that suits in-car installation.

About the Hertz CK 130
From our tech experts at CEN
Hertz Cento series 5.25 inch component set, with separate tweeters that can be mounted higher where you will actually hear them, rated at 70w RMS.
Who it suits
Drivers who want a proper front stage and are happy for tweeters to be mounted separately, which usually means a professional fit. Component sets are where a car system starts sounding like a hi-fi rather than louder.
Our tech experts advise
Sizes, adapter rings and harnesses vary by vehicle, year and trim, so we confirm what your car takes before ordering rather than guessing. Door treatment matters as much as the speaker itself, and an amplifier will get far more out of these than a head unit can. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: What is included with the Hertz CK 130?
A: The kit includes C 130 woofers, C 26 tweeters, CCX 2 crossover networks, tweeter flush mount clamps, angled surface mount housings, woofer grilles, screws, large and small speed clips, an owner's manual and templates on the box.
Q: Can the CK 130 tweeter level be adjusted?
A: Yes. The CCX 2 crossover has a tweeter level control with 0 and +3 dB settings. It crosses over at 2.5 kHz with a 12 dB/oct slope.
Q: How much power does the Hertz CK 130 handle?
A: It handles 70 W continuous and 210 W peak at 4 ohms.
