ESB 8.075 3"/75 mm Cone Midrange
The 8000 Series can be considered the direct heir to the 7000 Series. The goal was to renew a variety of speakers in itself exceptional, with the help of the latest technologies and the use of the best materials available today, always with installation versatility in mind. Key to the development of this type of car speaker system was to build on their exceptional musicality. In the 8000 Series, every detail was treated with the utmost care, from the choice of materials, the forms, construction and finishing of the baskets, to the ventilation systems of the magnets and voice coils. We have improved what was thought to be difficult to improve and we strongly believe we have laid the foundation for a new series of exceptional car speakers.
The neodymium magnet motor is optimized with FEA simulation to ensure perfectly symmetrical magnetic flux in both directions of the cone’s run. Motor metal parts are CNC machined from solid, refined material for maximum magnetic flux linearity and minimum magnetic loss. This reduces distortion at high power levels.
The 25.5 mm CCAW (Copper Clad Aluminum Wire) double layer voice coil is wound on an aluminum former for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction, even for the most demanding musical passages.
Non pressed cellulose pulp exponential cone with a vinylester resin coating ensures a perfect balance between rigidity, weight, and self-damping. The cellulose pulp guarantees an extremely natural and linear reproduction in all musical passages with an excellent extension at high frequencies without audible break-up. An aluminum dust cup fixed directly on voice coil former, increases and linearizes the extreme top of the bandwidth.
The CNC aluminum basket ensures a drastic reduction of the cone’s back reflections and greater torsional rigidity. High structural and torsional rigidity for perfect parts alignment requires very tight tolerances in the construction and assembling system. This results in better efficiency, more power handling and less distortion.
The exclusive rubber surround offers maximum linearity of travel and high reliability in extreme conditions.
The axial ventilation system ensures high thermal dissipation capacity, power handling and reliability.
The large Conex™ spider allows a smooth and gentle run at low excursions, and gently holds the cone at high excursions, thus increasing its useful range.
The exclusive terminal connection design accepts very large gauge cables.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
