Dodo Mat Roadblok 6 Sheets
Roadblok is a 4-layer soundproofing mat built from polymer compounds for noise and vibration reduction in cars and vans.
The four layers are: an acoustic membrane, a dense butyl rubber layer, a foamed rubber soundproofing and heat-insulating layer, and a self-adhesive sound damping polymer base. A non-woven black cloth top provides a clean, factory-style finish.
Roadblok is water resistant and suitable for a wide range of vehicles. Use it on interior floor areas or as a second layer over existing sound deadening such as Dodo Mat DEADN Hex in high-noise zones. The extra strong self-adhesive layer ensures long-term performance without lifting or shifting.

About the Dodo Mat DOD-ROADBLOK
From our tech experts at CEN
The Dodo Mat Roadblok is a 7.5mm four-layer soundproofing mat combining butyl rubber damping, foamed rubber insulation, an acoustic membrane and a non-woven black fabric finish. This six-sheet pack covers 2.1 sq.m, with each sheet measuring 700 x 500mm and weighing 2.16kg.
Who it suits
Roadblok suits drivers and van owners who want one product that damps vibration, insulates against heat and blocks airborne noise. It works on floor areas or as a second layer over existing deadening, such as Dodo Mat DEADN Hex, in high-noise zones.
Our tech experts advise
Apply between +10°C and +40°C for best adhesion; the mat operates from -40°C to +100°C. Clean and dry the surface first, then press each sheet flat with a roller — Roadblok conforms well to curved floors. The self-adhesive backing bonds firmly without primers or additional glue. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much sound deadening do I need for my car?
A: As a guide, a pair of front doors takes around 1 to 1.5 square metres, and a full car between 4 and 6 square metres depending on coverage. The sheet coverage for this product is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Where should I apply sound deadening first?
A: Doors give the biggest gain for both road noise and speaker performance, followed by the boot floor and wheel arches. Even a doors-only install noticeably tightens speaker bass.
Q: Is sound deadening difficult to fit myself?
A: It is one of the more DIY-friendly upgrades: panels are cut to shape, peeled and rolled firmly onto clean metal. A roller tool and panel removal tools make the job much easier, or CEN can carry out installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will sound deadening improve my audio system?
A: Yes. Deadening the doors reduces panel resonance so speakers produce cleaner, tighter bass, and lowering road noise means you hear more detail at normal volumes.
Q: Can Roadblok be fitted over existing sound deadening?
A: Yes. It can be used on its own on floor areas or as a second layer over existing sound deadening in high-noise zones.
Q: What temperature should Roadblok be fitted at?
A: The recommended application temperature is +10°C to +40°C. Once fitted it operates from -40°C to +100°C.
