The Blaupunkt Frankfurt Stereo MB is a retro-styled single-DIN car radio based on the original 1970s Frankfurt design, featuring a 3" TFT colour display, DAB+/FM/AM reception via the Blaupunkt Codem IV tuner, Bluetooth Twin Connect, USB, USB-C and Aux inputs, and 4 x 75 W output power. It is part of Blaupunkt's retro classic car radio range.
The Frankfurt Stereo MB is also available as the Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM 82.

Blaupunkt Frankfurt Stereo MB overview
A new edition of the original 1970 Frankfurt car radio, combining authentic period styling with up-to-date technology. The unit features a 3" TFT colour display, DAB+/FM/AM reception, Bluetooth Twin Connect, USB and Aux.

The Frankfurt Stereo MB uses the classic dimensions of 1970s dashboard devices, with rotary and push buttons and a pinstripe front with chrome frame. The Blaupunkt Codem IV high-end tuner provides FM, AM and DAB+ reception.
Retro meets high-tech
The multicolour display can be switched between digital and analogue frequency scale modes and is operated via a rotary knob.
Bluetooth provides audio streaming and hands-free calling, with access to the smartphone phone book and voice assistants including Siri and Google Assistant.
Additional features include USB mobile phone charging, a steering wheel remote control input, and the option to deactivate ignition-plus (ACC) detection.
Output power is 4 x 75 W at 2 ohms, with a 4-channel pre-amp output and a dedicated sub-out. Digital signal processing, a 2 x 14-band equaliser, sound presets and loudness control are all included.
Mounting hardware for axle mounting and 1-DIN slots is included in the box, allowing flexible installation across a range of classic car dashboards.

A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.
