APBMW ReAMP 2: Plug & Play T-Harness for Audison AP F on BMW
The APBMW ReAMP 2 provides a clean, cut-free installation of an Audison AP F series processor in BMW vehicles fitted with a RAM module. It is compatible with BMW 676 Standard and Hi-Fi sound systems. All iDrive 7-equipped vehicles include a RAM module regardless of audio package. The OEM seven-channel amplifier connects via a 42-pin multipolar connector.
The harness extracts the front mid/high, rear mid/high and underseat low-pass signals and makes those speaker leads available to connect directly to your amplifier. The outputs terminate in an input connector for the Prima-range AP F8.9 bit processor, with speaker leads terminated in round male disconnects. The RAM module must remain in the vehicle. The mono centre speaker used in the 676 Hi-Fi system is deleted by default to protect stereo performance, and a USS1 load device is built into the harness to simulate its presence.
Notes
- Compatibility is with RAM module-equipped 676 Hi-Fi audio packages and the AP F8.9 bit amplifier only. Use with other products may require modifications and additional connections.
- 676 systems use 2Ω woofers. Do not bridge two channels into a 2Ω load — this may cause protection shutdown or amplifier damage. To use bridged channels, replace OEM 2Ω woofers with Audison APBMW S8-4 4Ω woofers and confirm correct bridge wiring.
- Use input configuration #6 from the manual (2-way front rear). This is essential to correctly route the input signal to the bit processor section.
- Centre speaker: if a centre speaker is required, the speaker leads are present in the harness. The input signal wires can be modified and used; the load device should be removed if doing so.
- APBMW ReAMP 1 and APBMW ReAMP 2 use identical connectors but have different pinouts. They are not interchangeable — confirm the correct harness before installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is the centre speaker deleted with the ReAMP 2?
A: The 676 HiFi centre speaker is mono and could damage the stereo performance, so it is deleted by default. A USS1 load device built into the harness simulates the speaker to prevent a diagnostic error. If you want to keep it, the centre speaker leads are present in the harness and the input wires can be modified (with the loading device removed).
Q: Which input configuration should I use with the ReAMP 2?
A: Use input configuration #6 (2-way front rear) from the manual, so the input signal is routed correctly to the bit processor.
Q: Is the APBMW ReAMP 2 interchangeable with ReAMP 1?
A: No. APBMW ReAMP 1 and ReAMP 2 use identical connectors but different pinouts, so they are not interchangeable.
