About the RetroSound M4-502-06-76
From our tech experts at CEN
A classic-style car radio in the Euro Style look, with modern electronics behind a period face — Bluetooth streaming and hands-free, plus DAB.
Who it suits
Classic and modern classic owners who want to stream music and take calls without a modern screen ruining the dash. These are the answer for cars where an aftermarket double-DIN would look completely wrong, and they usually fit the original aperture and shaft spacing.
Our tech experts advise
Shaft spacing, depth and face style vary between models and cars, and older vehicles often need a 6 to 12 volt converter or a rewire of the aerial and earth. Tell us the car and we will confirm which model suits — get in touch. See car stereo installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this stereo fit my car?
A: Most vehicles need a fascia panel, wiring harness and sometimes a steering wheel control interface to fit a new stereo. Contact CEN with your make, model and year and we will confirm the exact installation kit needed, or browse our Connects 2 installation kits.
Q: Will I keep my steering wheel controls?
A: Yes, in almost all cases. A steering wheel control interface retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. Parts are sold separately.
Q: Does this stereo support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
A: Check the Specification tab, which lists smartphone connectivity for each model including whether CarPlay and Android Auto are wired or wireless on that unit.
Q: What is the difference between single DIN and double DIN?
A: DIN refers to the chassis size. Single DIN units are the traditional slim format, while double DIN units are twice the height and typically carry a touchscreen. Your vehicle's dash aperture and fascia kit determine which fits.
Q: Can CEN supply and fit the stereo?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional supply and installation from our Nottingham premises, including fascia, wiring and steering control integration. Contact us for a fitted price.
Q: Does the RetroSound Motor 4 have DAB radio?
A: Yes. The Motor 4 has a built-in DAB/DAB+ tuner as well as an AM/FM RDS tuner with 30 presets.
Q: How many USB ports does the RetroSound Motor 4 have?
A: It has two rear-mounted USB ports for flash drives and other devices, with 2.1 amp device charging.
Q: Will the RetroSound Motor 4 work in a positive earth classic car?
A: No. RetroSound radios are only compatible with 12 V negative ground vehicles. The radio is modular and assembly is required, and bezels, knobs and faceplates are sold separately.
