The original glass antennas, in some Volkswagen Group vehicles, are designed to receive DAB Digital Radio signals.
“DAB & Play” system developed by Calearo Antenne let the capture of these signals available to any DAB receiver, both original and After Market. Perfectly integrated with the car system, it allows you to benefit from the same high reception quality offered by the original antenna.
VW call these 'diversity' antennas. These can be amended to receive both FM and DAB signals using the 7590007 adaptor, increasing functionality while retaining a OEM look.
Diversity antennas are usually discreetly mounted on the rear window. It runs on the window just like the heater elements.
