ELATE CARBON PRO 2-WAY
Elate Carbon Pro 62A
The evolution of the iconic Elate line continues to push the boundaries of performance.
No other speaker system fully envelops high-resolution and high power handling like the new Elate Carbon Pro.
From the outset the Elate Carbon Pro was developed to be more than just a new set of speakers—it was designed to bring our customers closer on their quest of an immersive musical experience that will leave you breathless.
Elate Carbon carries on the tradition of high power, high fidelity speaker systems, yet takes a leap forward in sound performance. The new Pro series is highlighted by the Elate Alto cavity-back tweeter – a high-resolution design borrowing its architecture from the Supremo Piccolo. Combined with the new carbon fiber and Rohacell cone midrange and woofers, performance is breathtaking in detail, even at extreme volume levels.
DMM MOTOR
Morel’s double drive system generates more magnetic energy than a single magnet of similar size, increasing efficiency and the dynamic range. The position of the secondary magnet fixed above the top plate in the motor is the key in controlling stray magnetic flux, thus generating a more focussed magnetic field while also contributing to the “shielded” characteristic of our speakers.
EVC MOTOR
Morel speakers with EVC™ technology utilize voice coils that are up to three times larger than those used in conventional loudspeakers. The EVC™ design moves the magnetic drive system within the voice coil, eliminating stray magnetic flux by effectively directing all the magnetic energy to the voice coil. The result is an ultra-efficient and powerful design, that is highly compact with efficient heat dissipation and reduced cone breakup for lower distortion.
HANDCRAFTED ACUFLEX SOFT DOME
A specially engineered damping compound applied to the soft domes of specific Morel tweeters and midranges. The combination of these materials creates a diaphragm that exhibits controlled canceling break up (accurate–flexing), meaning each break-up mode is counteracted by another in the opposite direction. This cancellation of break-up modes leaves nothing but the pure, natural sound Morel tweeters and midrange are famous for.
LOTUS GRILLE
The new Morel grille has a specific pattern of holes in different shapes and diameters engineered to minimize the “horn” effect (high-frequency peak caused by the resonant frequency of multiple same-size holes). Innovative metal processing enabled the construction of a very thin nearly transparent grille that hardly affects the sound at all frequencies whilst maintaining structural integrity to protect the drivers.
The Lotus grille is a registered design protecting Morel’s intellectual property.
TITANIUM VOICE COIL FORMER
The bobbin material has an influence on the acoustical parameters of the driver, its power handling and the reproduced sound quality. By using titanium bobbin, Morel intended to raise the Mechanical Factor (QMS) in order to enable a wider selection of enclosure types and sizes. As for the sound quality, one is able to discern a distinctively “crisper” sound when compared to an equivalent driver with an aluminum bobbin. The rigid characteristic of titanium, along with its other advantages produces a driver that is tonally balanced and accurate, with an exceptionally fast transient response.

FAQs
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
