Module for Prima AP8.9bit AP5.9bit AP4.9bit DSP Amps
The Audison ASP module solves a common OEM integration problem when installing the AP8.9bit, AP5.9bit or AP4.9bit with factory head units.
What it does
Some OEM sources need a resistive load at their outputs on startup to confirm speakers are present. If no load is detected, the source cuts the outputs — typically the rear channels. This stops you from setting input levels during calibration.
The ASP module simulates a temporary load when the amplifier powers on. Once the source is satisfied, the load is automatically removed. No signal is lost and no manual workaround is needed.
Why not just use resistors?
Fixed power resistors wired to the source outputs would do a similar job, but they stay connected permanently. This generates heat continuously and puts unnecessary strain on the head unit. The ASP module removes itself from the circuit after startup, so there is no ongoing load and no wasted heat.
