The three-way elliptical coax CX 690 featuring a 6x9 in. cone was designed to achieve maximum performance in horizontal installations and offering, even in this difficult condition, an exceptional tone balance and power handling.
- 6×9 in. semi-pressed paper elliptical cone SPP-M (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica) enhanced with Mica powder for an excellent balance between lightness and damping.
- Wide rubber suspension engineered for a long excursion and excellent sound damping.
- High-density flux ferrite magnet combined with low-carbon polar plates for reduced distortion at high power levels.
- Basket with metallic finish acoustically combined with a rubber magnet cover for total damping of spurious vibrations.
- 40 mm (1.58 in.) dome tweeter for efficient distortion-free mid-high frequency reproduction.
- 20 mm (0.8 in.) dome supertweeter to maximize the level of very high frequencies in horizontal installations.
- Tweeter faceplate geometry optimized with FEM simulations (Finite Element Modeling), to provide an extremely linear frequency response in off-axis installations.
- Provided elegant grille made with high-resistance ABS plastic structure with a metallic finish combined with a protective metal mesh.

Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
