Accessories | Plug&Play harness to replace the OEM BMW amplifier

This Plug & amp;Play harness provides the ability to replace the OEM BMW amplifier with an Audison AP bit on BMW vehicles equipped with the optional Hi-Fi sound system.The OEM seven-channel analog amplifier is connected via a forty-two pin multipolar connector.

The APBMW ReAMP 1 harness interfaces with BMW 676 HiFi systems using the unified analog external amplifier found in late E60, all E9x, E8x, all F3x/8x, up until iDrive 7 and the RAM.

The harness eliminates the 676 HiFi amplifier, so it can be removed from the vehicle.

It also brings out front and rear preamp signals, front, rear, under seat woofer, and centre speaker leads (if present), as well as B (+), GND, and 12V Remote Turn On leads.

Most 676 HiFi systems use a 4V analog preamp signal, but some use lower voltages.

Some late production E60 5- Series instead use APBMW ReAMP 1-compatible “unified’ 6-channel amplifiers.Visual confirmation is recommended. 676 HIFI systems use 2Ω underseat woofers. Do not bridge two channels into a 2Ω load. Protection shutdown or amplifier damage may result. To use in bridged mode, replace the OEM 2Ω woofers with audison APBMW S8-4 4Ω woofers. Confirm proper bridged-mode wiring! Not all 676 systems have a centre speaker. E90, E8X, late E60, ETC. 676 HiFi systems do not have a centre speaker, so the centre speaker lead is not functional. E70, F3X, F10, ETC. 676 systems have a centre speaker, so optional leads are included. Compatibility with Prima AP bit amplifiers If the 674 amplifier is removed, software updates cannot be performed. Please, inform the vehicle owner to retain the 674 amplifier, and to temporarily reinstall it if software updates must be performed during a vehicle service. 674 under seat woofers are 4Ω,and can be driven by bridged channels. For use with AP F8.9 bit amplifiers, also the AP F IN ADP adapter is needed. As alternative the harness must be modified. Do not use OEM B (+) and ground wires for the AP F8.9 BIT - run new B (+) to the battery, and ground accordingly! If centre speaker retention is desired, use the centre speaker leads. APBMW ReAMP 1 and ReAMP 2 use identical connectors, but have different pinouts. They are not interchangeable
