About Focal
Focal has been engineering loudspeakers in Saint-Etienne, France since 1979, when founder Jacques Mahul began building drivers in his father's precision-engineering workshop. Nearly five decades on, the company still designs and builds its high-end drivers in France, carrying technologies developed for its reference home speakers and studio monitors into the car: Slatefiber recycled-carbon cones, Polyglass diaphragms and inverted-dome tweeters, with beryllium in the flagship Utopia M line.
