ZP12D2 – 12″ STREETBASS SUBWOOFER
The ZP12D2 is the latest in streetbass subwoofers from Phoenix Gold, a high performance smooth and powerful subwoofer that handles 1500W RMS and 4500W MAX! It is comprimsed of premium soft-parts, a high gauss ferrite motor and 3″ OFC voice coil to handle high temperatures and extreme power!
The ZP12D2 Subwoofers have been engineered to offer optimum levels of SPL while maintaining a wonderful sound reproduction and fantastic sound quality.
We have used precision designed soft parts such as our OFC Voice coil and woven tinsel leads for optimistic power handling, a non pressed paper cone for the best dampening, triple polycotton spiders for accurate movement and a tall but perfectly proportioned surround to give the optimised amount of linear excursion to cone area to deliver the most amount of bass possible.
To drive the engineered soft parts a double stacked ferrite magnet with an accurately calculated pole piece gap for the highest gauss possible within the parameters of the subwoofer, allows the woofer to be driven with excellent power and exquisite precision.

FAQs
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?
A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
