5 Channel System Amplifier (700 W) (JD700/5)
THE AMP THAT DOES IT ALL
Power your entire system with this 5-channel system amplifier that combines a 4-channel full-range and monoblock subwoofer amplifier in one single, easy-to-install package. A generous feature set adds even more value.
- 12-DECIBEL/OCTAVE FILTER WITH SELECTABLE HIGH, LOW OR DEFEAT (OFF) MODES
- SELECTABLE INPUT VOLTAGE: LOW (200 MV TO 2-VOLT RMS) TO HIGH (800 MV TO 8-VOLT RMS)
- 3 TURN-ON OPTIONS: +12-VOLT REMOTE WIRE, SIGNAL SENSING OR DC OFFSET
- ONBOARD LED CLIPPING INDICATOR SIMPLIFIES LEVEL SETTING
- SIGNAL ROUTING FLEXIBILITY WITH 2-, 4- OR 6-CHANNEL INPUT MODE
EFFICIENT CLASS-D DESIGN
Small size, minimal heat and lots of power — Class-D amplifier design offers significant advantages. And our NexD switching technology adds even more, using enhanced pulse width modulation techniques to boost the amplifier’s bandwidth while minimising distortion and improving efficiency.
TOTAL SYSTEM POWER
The 4-channel amplifier churns out 400 watts of total power — 100 watts from each of its 4 channels, perfect for door speakers. A 300-watt mono channel offers plenty of power for a 10- or 12-inch subwoofer.
PREMIUM-LEVEL SIGNAL PROCESSING
This JD series amplifier’s signal processing features include high- or low-pass 12 decibel/octave filters for each channel pair, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50–500 Hz.
LED CLIPPING INDICATOR RINGS
An LED clipping indicator ring that surrounds each input level potentiometer lets you quickly set your amplifier’s input sensitivity, without the need for additional test equipment.
BUILT STRONG AND SMART
Featuring a sleek industrial design with moulded end caps and an aluminium extruded chassis, the JD series’ power indicator and protection LED indicators shine from behind a simple black logo bar on the top surface of the amplifier.

FAQs
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
